Lewis Schoenbrun, grandson of David Sheinbaum has a long and successful career in the Hollywood film industry. Starting in high school he produced and directed a short film based on Ray Bradbury’s The Martian Chronicles. Later as a college student he made the documentary film Darkness at Noon about a solar eclipse in East Africa and Reaching from the Silence about the decline of Yiddish culture in America. He started his professional career working as an assistant editor on some big name Hollywood productions such as Mystic Pizza, UHF, Attack of the 50ft. Women, The Favor and Passed Away. Subsequently he has edited and directed many low budget films. Currently he has been restoring and colorizing many old films at his Youtube channel

The Golem is a short film based on an old Jewish folk tale. The film was produced, edited and directed by Lewis and it stars Ed Asner.
Reaching from the Silence is a documentary film about Yiddish culture that Lewis created.
