During the bombing of London during WWII a German V2 Rocket hit the home of Pincus and Sophie Nirenstein killing Pinkus and two of their children Freda and Philip as well as Freda’s fiancé Morris Wolkind. David was pulled from the rubble of their home and survived.
On September 9th 2010 on the 70th anniversary a memorial bench was erected at the site. Below are links to information about the site and the Speech by Frankie Mitchell.
