During the bombing of London during WWII a German V2 Rocket hit the home of Pincus and Sophie Nirenstein killing Pinkus and two of their children Freda and Philip as well as Freda’s fiancĂ© Morris Wolkind. David was pulled from the rubble of their home and survived.
On September 9th 2010 on the 70th anniversary a memorial bench was erected at the site. Below are links to information about the site and the Speech by Frankie Mitchell.
